Experience excellent cuisine, fantastic atmosphere & the roaring open fire in this beautiful historic building. The original Methven Post Office was converted into The Last Post 16 years ago & has recently had an internal revamp to provide a contemporary and exciting place to spend your evening - whether enjoying the superb cuisine or just relaxing with a drink on the sofas.

We cater predominantly for the tourist market during the ski season and aim to excel in food, wine and service. Our menu is mainly modern kiwi style, with some European and Asian influence in the mix – our range of dishes and prices ensure that there is something for everyone. We go the extra mile to ensure that all our meat and produce is of the highest standard and we use local suppliers where possible.

If it’s a just a relaxing drink you’re looking for, after a hard day on the mountain, then look no further – The Last Post has a cosy bar and sofas to unwind on whilst warming up with some of our home made hot mulled wine. Monteiths on tap, an extensive range of imported beers, cocktails and fine wines ensure the ultimate evening’s enjoyment.
