The original Methven Post Office was converted into The Last Post 16 years ago & has recently had an internal revamp to provide a contemporary and exciting place to spend your evening - whether enjoying the superb cuisine or just relaxing with a drink on the sofas.

We cater for the tourist and the local market through out the year and aim to excel in fantastic food, wine and service. Our menu is mainly modern kiwi style, with some European and Asian influence in the mix – our range of dishes and prices ensure that there is something for everyone. We go the extra mile to ensure that all our meat and produce is of the highest standard and we use ingredients from local suppliers.

If it’s just a relaxing drink you’re looking for, after a hard day on the mountain, then look no further – The Last Post has a cosy bar and sofas to unwind on whilst warming up with some of our home made steaming mulled wine. Enjoy three different style of Monteiths on tap or a selection of international beers. To ensure the ultimate night out, you can choose one of our award winning wines from around the world or sip one of our sublime cocktails!!
